Guiding principles

  • The Official Languages Act is essential to respecting the linguistic needs of English-speaking and French-speaking New Brunswickers;
  • Respect between English-speaking and French-speaking New Brunswickers is based on personal will and not on individual bilingualism;
  • Empathy and a supportive spirit are needed to better understand the challenges faced by English-speaking and French-speaking New Brunswickers;
  • It is through open and respectful dialogue that New Brunswickers will imagine and achieve a future that embraces our linguistic realities;
