Stan Choptiany
Stan Choptiany was appointed to the Board of Directors of Dialogue New Brunswick in 2010 and was elected Secretary-Treasurer in June 2012.
Stan is a retired University Professor and former high school teacher and Administrator. He has extensive experience in student exchanges in Canada, France, and Costa Rica. Teaching summer programs in Marine Biology brought wife Sylvia and him to Saint Andrews 30 years ago. He is currently a Town of Saint Andrews Councillor, and is a Commissioner with the St. Croix International Watershed Commission. Previous Board experience includes the United Way, Barrie Police Services Board, The Barrie Women & Children's Crisis Centre and the Nottawasauga Conservation Authority. The love of the outdoors, caring for the environment, family (married with two sons; both doing graduate studies), sailing and art fill his time.
