Nathalie Chiasson

Nathalie Chiasson is a lawyer in private practice based in Shippagan, New Brunswick. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in economics from McGill University in Montreal (1986) and a bachelor of laws degree from the Université de Moncton (1990). She has 17 years' experience in private practice specializing primarily in insurance, business and real estate law.

Ms. Chiasson was appointed to a Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security Review Tribunal in 2001, on which she served as Legal Member and Chair of the Panel through January 2008. Ms. Chiasson also served as chair of the parent school support committee (PSSC) of École L'Envolée in Shippagan from September 2005 to June 2008 to support development of the school, which her three daughters attended. She also co-chaired an issue table against spousal abuse and family violence in the Acadian Peninsula and chaired that organization's action committee from 2002 to 2007 to assist with efforts toward tangible progress in reducing the impact of family violence on women and children. Ms. Chiasson is a Council Member for the Law Society of New Brunswick since January 2007.  She represents Gloucester County lawyers within this association.

Also involved in sports, Ms. Chiasson coached the girls' soccer team at École L'Envolée from 2005 to 2007.
